To continually improve product performance and ensure a better trading experience for all users, CoinW has automatically adjusted the funding fee settlement frequency for USDT-margined perpetual futures as of 2025/07/29 at 20:00 (UTC+8).
If the funding fee in the previous cycle hits the upper or lower limit, CoinW will change the settlement frequency from every 8 or 4 hours to every 1 hour.
Example:
If the BTC/USDT perpetual futures hits the upper/lower funding rate limit of -0.3% at 2025/07/29 16:00 (UTC+8), the next funding cycle will switch from every 8 hours to hourly settlements, starting from 17:00 (UTC+8) on the same day.

Funding rates help keep the price of perpetual futures in line with the underlying spot market. They are exchanged directly between traders — CoinW only facilitates the transaction between long and short positions.
If the funding rate is positive, long traders pay shorts.
If it’s negative, short traders pay longs.
The funding amount is based on position notional value × funding rate.
Funding rates vary with market conditions.
In low-volatility markets, rates are usually low.
In highly volatile markets, rates may reach their cap.
In extreme cases, the funding rate may exceed the maintenance margin rate.
Since funding fees are deducted from your margin, we strongly recommend that you closely monitor your positions and available margin to avoid forced liquidation or margin calls.
